The Seraph AD8 MK II combines analog and digital interfaces in professional formats and is the quality center for every audio signal.
In the space of only one PCIe slot width, the Seraph AD8 MKII offers the connection for 32 audio channels. The symmetrical analog inputs and outputs are located on the main board. The digital AES / EBU connections, on the other hand, are designed as D-Sub plugs without any further active electronics. This means that it can be placed anywhere in the computer case separately from the motherboard or, with the slot bracket, can take up any space next to other PCIe components.
Highest audio quality for analog and digital signals
With 115 dB dynamic range and a THD + N of less than 0.001% at -1 dBfs, the analog connections of the Seraph AD8 play in the top tier of sound. A full level of +15 dBu provides sufficient headroom at the inputs and sufficient signal at the outputs for every connected device. The analog and digital processing takes place consistently with 24 bit and 192 kHz without restriction of the number of channels.
Switchable sample rate converters (SRC)
The SRC, which can be activated via software, allow any digital input signal to be fed into the sound system regardless of its sample rate and clock setting. In this way, all digital devices are connected without any problems, even without separate synchronization lines.
Real time mixing and EQ
Each input signal of the sound system can appear on up to 8 mixed sums and be played back without delay via any number of outputs. The BEAST mixer also mixes playback signals from a DAW without latency. Up to 4 parametric EQs are available in the hardware for sound processing for each signal.
If several Seraphs are installed in one computer, they are synchronized via the TDM SyncBus and appear as a combined sound system compared to an ASIO application. In the Beast Mixer, up to 8 audio signals can also be exchanged with other Seraph or Clara sound systems and thus also integrated for use with ASIO.
