The Radius Mini-RAD Shock Mount is a compact professional shock mount developed specifically for small diaphragm pencil microphones, combining exceptional isolation performance with an ultra low profile design that stays out of the way during critical recording work. Designed for microphones from ø19-21 mm, the Mini-RAD Shock Mount helps minimize handling
noise, vibration, and stand borne rumble while maintaining an incredibly compact footprint. At the centre of the design is the new Mini-RAD hoop, featuring a reduced ø45 mm diameter compared to traditional ø65 mm RAD hoops, allowing closer microphone placement and improved positioning flexibility in tight recording environments.
Weighing just 60 grams (2.1oz), the Mini-RAD is ideal for applications where size, weight, and discretion matter. From plant microphones and car mounts to interior booms, low profile orchestral setups, and compact stereo rigs, the mount provides secure isolation without adding unnecessary bulk or visual distraction. A smooth 180° swivel mechanism provides fast and precise microphone positioning, while the integrated cable clip keeps cabling secure without the bulk of a traditional XLR holder. The result is a cleaner, lighter, and more streamlined mounting solution for modern recording workflows.
The Mini-RAD features a marine grade brass 5/8-27" female threaded insert and includes a 5/8”-27 male to 3/8”-UNC female adaptor for compatibility with professional microphone stands and studio hardware worldwide. Designed as part of the wider Radius ecosystem, the Mini-RAD Studio Mount is fully compatible with existing RAD mount and Mini-ALTO components, while also supporting future Radius products and accessories.
