The BETSO SBOX-2RF is an extremely accurate, very compact and affordable time code and word clock generator with RF transmission of time code and status information. SBOX-2RF improves time code sync precision of its ancestor, keeps very easy to use "plug and play" operation control, along with its 1" large
OLED display. New RF transmission brings wireless continuous jamming of time code with 0 ppm error and clear status information of all connected devices to the network with just one click of button. What we most love on new SBOX-2RF is its very long operational time from a single AA battery.
Our whole new concept of wireless transmission of time code and status information is ideal for simple on stage workflow control. Each device connected to the network will be continuously jammed from transmitter and on each device you can observe status information of all other devices in the network.
The operating range is up to 500m within the line of sight. The RF protocol incorporates frequency hopping spread spectrum technology approach which ensures robust functionality even in the environment with high RF noise.
When the unit set as receiver is out of the RF range, it keeps generating synced timecode.
All Time Code and Word Clock Formats
The SBOX-2RF can receive, precisely jam or start to generate new time codes of all existing SMPTE time code formats.
Also, all commonly used word clock formats are supported, including their pull-up and pull-down options.
Extremely Easy To Use
To use, simply connect the cable with the active time code and leave the rest to SBOX-2RF!
The automatic turn on and jamming function provides the most user-friendly and reliable time code syncing as the SBOX-2RF will automatically distinguish correct time code format, calibrate internal TCXO to obtain the same time base as your source, and start generating jammed time code.
You will find the time code synched to the source within less than 0.5 frame drifts even after two days of continuous use.
Ultra Highly Accurate TCXO
Embedded high precision temperature compansated crystal oscillator TCXO with frequency accuracy off 0.2 ppm is the fundamental piece of hardware for stable and accurate time code and word clock generator.
The superior quality of TCXO is best suited for changing environmental conditions where temperatures vary a lot during the day. Even in extreme weather conditions, the SBOX-2RF will keep time codes in sync.
Thanks to our sophisticated software methods, the ultra-highly accurate TCXO can be further calibrated to achieve much better than 0.2 ppm accuracy. These methods can be applied both during jamming, when TCXO is calibrated to obtain exactly the same time base as the source of time code, or during calibration, from BETSO GPS-1 devices which offer calibrating based on GPS atomic clocks.
This accuracy is almost impossible to beat. And, as you know, accuracy is what TC syncing is all about!
