The PSC Power Star distribution system provides a convenient way of distributing clean, quiet, reliable 12Vdc to all of your audio equipment from a single rechargeable battery. The PSC Power Star features a built in 12Vdc, 15 Amp AC power supply and battery charger that can be operated world-wide without adjustment. The Power Star features 10 outputs. Two of these outputs are designed to deliver up to 8 amps of continuous current draw and the remaining eight outputs are all rated for 3.5 amps current draw. Up to 24 amps of power may be used from a rechargeable battery.
This power supply can operate your equipment and/or charge your pelican style battery simultaneously. The Power Star features PSC’s exclusive Silent Power Technology designed to filter out unwanted switch mode noise from your power lines. These exclusive PSC filters will ensure you of clean, quiet recordings in the field by minimizing unwanted inter-modulation noise. In addition, each of the PSC Power Star’s 10 output connectors are individually poly fuse protected and monitored for proper output and short circuits. Convenient front panel status LED’s assure the operator that everything is functioning correctly. The PSC Power Star includes a separate, small remote control which features the main power on/off switch as well as two LED digital panel meters. One meter shows operating voltage and the other shows total current consumption of your equipment. These two meters provide the operator critical battery level and current draw information. The PSC Power Star will charge your sealed lead acid batteries anytime it is connected to AC power even when the unit is turned off. The PSC Power Star can operate with or without a battery connected. With a battery connected and AC power present, it will operate as an un-interruptible power supply, automatically switching to battery power immediately upon the loss of AC power. The Power Star features removable, two mounting position, rack mount brackets for added flexibility.
